I have been working in secret on another project for a while.
What if you could play a skirmish game where each piece represented an army, and each combat represented a battle, and every game played out an entire war on your tabletop in just a couple of hours?
That is VOLD.

You will build armies with generals who have both strengths and weaknesses.
You will exploit the terrain to your advantage, and lay siege to enemy fortresses.
You will deploy your agents and attack enemy supply lines.
You will achieve the objectives of your nation and win the war!

I am so excited about this game and what it will be.
The initial core ruleset is already sketched out. At release there will be rules for medieval battles and an optional fantasy add on (based on the Torch & Shield universe set in the time of the great collapse of the Dwarf Empire). But that will just be the beginning!
I can see expansions for American Civil War, the Napoleonic Peninsula War, Japan's Sengoku period and China's Seven Warring States - and can picture other fantasy and historical settings too!
The prototypes by Kosmo Miniatures set the vibe beautifully and I cant wait to reveal more about this game soon. I will start dropping regular updates for this game to the Legion Members moving forward.
